The next generation of Point Blank has arrived, designed from the ground up with the angler in mind.
The new Katana Series retains the precise fast-action tapers and balance that made the original blanks a favorite, but now with a completely overhauled construction for increased strength, consistency, and better feel.
Katana blanks feature a 15% increase in mid-to-high modulus (30–40 ton) carbon fiber, delivering improved recovery and a more responsive feel without sacrificing durability or adding weight. The new 45° multi-angled mesh layup reduces blank twist and improves hoop strength. This, in combination with Katana’s lightly-sanded feel, gives you a blank that loads and recovers better than ever.
Updated mandrels use a five-section taper design, allowing for more even carbon distribution throughout the blank. The result? Better load transitions, improved sensitivity, and a more balanced blank.
Whether you’re chasing sensitivity, power, or precision, Katana is the new benchmark for high-performance rod blanks. Named for its balance of strength and finesse, the Katana series was inspired by the legendary blade—precise, powerful, and built with purpose.
